PARKING ORDINANCE
Pursuant to the authority conferred under the provisions of RSA 41:11 and RSA 47:17, the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Sutton enact the following ordinance regulating the use of streets during winter months.
Section 1
No person or operator of a motor vehicle shall cause the same to be parked on any street or way or in any public parking lot within the Town of Sutton between the hours of 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. from November 1st to April 1st of any year or during snow removal operations.
Section 2
Any motor vehicle or other device so parked in violation of Section 1 of this ordinance may be cited for violation of this ordinance by a police officer.
Section 3
The definition of the term motor vehicle or other device shall mean and include any of the following as defined in RSA 259: antique motor car or motorcycle, automobile utility trailer, bus, heavy truck, highway building equipment, light truck, mobile home, moped, motor truck, motor vehicles, motorcycle, motor driven cycle, off highway directional vehicle, OHRV, private passenger automobile, private passenger vehicle, school bus, semi-trailer, ski area vehicle, snow traveling vehicle, special mobile equipment, tractor, tractor-trailer, trailer, transporter, truck-tractor, and vehicle.
Section 4
As prescribed by RSA 31:39, the penalty for violation of this ordinance shall be $25.00 for each offense.
