November 18, 2008 Meeting
Meeting called to order at 7:06 p.m.
David Burnham was appointed acting chair. Members present where Robert Wright, Jr., Peter Blakeman, Carrie Thomas and David Burnham.
Daniel & Sharon Baker were present for a non-binding, non-public pre-conceptual meeting. Mr. & Mrs. Baker are requesting guidance with regards to a commercial business venture they would like to start on property they own on Route 114, Sutton Mills. At this time, they were referred to the Zoning Board of Adjustment as this would be their first step. The Land Use Coordinator will get the Baker’s the required information to proceed.
Carrie Thomas gave those member present a brief overview of the November, 2008 Preserving Rural Character conference she attended. The speaker that evening was Steve Whitman from Plymouth. A slide presentation was shown with regards to “village” or cluster housing versus present subdivisions and how much more land is preserved by clustering.
Meeting minutes of October 14, 2008 and October 28, 2008 were reviewed. Peter Blakeman moved to accept them as submitted and Robert Wright, Jr., seconded.
Due to the Christmas Holiday, the December 23, 2008 meeting will not be held. December’s hearing will be on December 9, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
Correspondence was reviewed.
Meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
