TOWN OF SUTTON
BOARD OF SELECTMEN
March 10, 2008 @ 4:30 p.m.
Pillsbury Memorial Hall, 93 Main Street, Sutton Mills
The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by William Curless, Chair. Present at the meeting were William Curless, Chair; Philip Buteau, Selectman; Robert Wright, Jr., Selectman Todd St. Cyr and Elly Phillips, Recording Secretary.
The minutes from March 3, 2008 were approved as written. The Board reviewed and approved the following manifests:
PAYROLL MANIFEST: $15,316.79
VENDOR MANIFEST: $25,846.45
APPOINTMENTS:
1. Todd St. Cyr met with the Board to discuss road repairs and a trucking permit. Mr. St. Cyr was referred to the Road Agent.
BUILDING PERMITS:
1. Selectman Wright requested that the code enforcement officer to inspect renovations at Map 02-598-420, Bailey Road to ensure that they were within the scope of the approved building permit.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. The Board discussed the logistics of the Annual Meeting Location which had been chanted to the Kearsarge Regional High School, 7:00 p.m., March 12, 2008, due to an anticipated heavy turnout that would result in the building being over capacity.
2. Town Meeting –
a. Warrant Article Assignment
b. Timber/pulp
c. Highway Budget – overtime/sand
d. Fire Pumper Repairs
OLD BUSINESS:
1. The Board executed the deed for repurchase of Stewart Property Map 04-312,539.
2. The Board reviewed a request from Chief Sims to place a stop sign on Chalk Pond Road. The Board agreed to discuss the matter with the Police Chief after Town Meeting.
3. The Board reviewed the DES recommendations for groundwater sampling for March testing at the Septage Lagoons.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
