ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
Meeting Minutes
March 19, 2008
The meeting was called to order at by Derek Lick, Chair. Members present were Ed Canane, Doug Sweet, Bill Turner and Kevin Carr. Dane Headley was in attendance as a member of the audience due to abutter status.
Member not in was attendance Bill Hallahan.
Also present: Garrett Evans, Timothy and Lorraine Davis, Larry and Peg Ford, Don Davis, Joe Burns, Mr. & Mrs. Headley, Betsey Forsham and Robin Sellman.
Correspondence was reviewed by Board members. Land Use Coordinator to make copies and mail to members.
Doug Sweet and Dane Headley agreed to another term on the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Public Hearing: Timothy & Lorraine Davis, Variance to Article V, Section c of the Sutton Zoning Ordinance in order to allow a lot line adjustment for a non-conforming lot of 1.1 acres be reconfigured to a 3 +/- acre parcel in a Rural Agricultural District. Case #2008-1, Tax Map #5, Lot #732,541 and Tax Map #5, Lot #698,411, Book 2070, Page 0165 and Book 2076, Page 0390.
Derek Lick, Chair read into the record correspondence from The Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust, letter from Donald C. Davis, Jr., and an e-mail from Jay and Deb Gallagher.
Garrett Evans explained the mapping for the new parcel to be created by the lot-line adjustment. The Board felt that this was an appropriate use of the land.
Kevin Carr moved to accept the application with the condition that the Davis’ obtain the Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation conservation easement. Seconded by Doug Sweet. Roll call 5/0. GRANTED UNANIMOUSLY.
Chair, Derek Lick to send to the Planning Board Chair, a letter stating that the Zoning Board of Adjustment is in favor of the Davis’ Shadow Hill Road property plan.
Motion made by Chair, Derek Lick to adjourn the March Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting for the Town of Sutton. Seconded by Ed Canane. UNANIMOUS.
